Scott has been both designer & presenter on ITV1's popular series '60 Minute Makeover', where he has filmed 21 shows for series airing 2009 & 2010, designing every interior and hosting each show himself. Scott will be back in the makeover land of 60 Minute Makeover in the summer of 2011
Although Scott first hit our television screens in 2006 when he won 'Ann Maurice - Interior Rivalry' on Channel Five. Under the schooling of Ann Maurice, Scott went on to launch his company, StagingSpace, which focuses on various aspects of interior design, including show homes & events and restyling homes that fit both lifestyle and budget.
Ann Maurice said, "Scott had just about everything I was looking for. He is organised, has good people skills and his background as a dancer helps him perform well under pressure. He just goes for it - with everything he has. He's sharp and has an amazing eye for design. Scott was the perfect choice."
Scott has also featured in and writes articles for home interior magazines such as Concept for Living & House Beautiful. Scott has designed the homes of a number of celebrities including furnishing and re-designing the home of Duncan James of 'Blue' & West End & Pop Idol star Gareth Gates.
Scott also is currently working for P&O Cruises taking to the high seas to conduct talks & workshops all about Home Interiors, as well as being asked by P&O to design and dress their 2010 Christmas Party Event in London. Scott is also a popular guest speaker at Home & Design Shows around the country where he talks about all aspects of design - from Interior re-design to staging property for profit.
Naomi Handford-Jones (Event Organizer at National Self Build & Renovation Centre), said: "Scott's presentation given at our Interior Design Weekend was absolutely superb. Scott is the consummate professional - both as a guest speaker and as the celebrity designer that he is. He is passionate about what he does and it comes across in the way he presents. I cannot recommend him highly enough as an interesting and inspiring guest speaker".
Scott has also created many bespoke show homes for various property developers all over the UK.
Scott started his career as a Dancer, having trained at The Royal Ballet School from the age of 11. Born and raised in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, Scott's story has similar traits to Billy Elliot. The majority of his work has been based within the television arena, working with artists such as Blue, Atomic Kitten, Will Young, Basement Jazz and appearing in television shows such as Top Of the Pops, CDUK, X Factor, Saturday Night Takeaway and Stars in their Eyes.
Scott's desire to move into interior design came after refurbishing and styling a number of properties for his family and friends. The rest, as they say, is history.
