Seetha was born in London to Sri-Lankan parents. Having gained a degree in finance, she worked in the City for a number of years as a business analyst for major American and Dutch banks, before being asked to front a new series for Channel 4 - A Place By The Sea.
In each hour long programme, Seetha helps people find their perfect home, new business or investment project, identifying the factors to consider, the pitfalls to avoid, offering interior design tips and practical building and market knowledge – currently on its fourth series.
Since moving into presenting, Seetha has worked on a variety of productions which have seen her doing everything from debating current affairs and interviewing government ministers to feeding dolphins and trekking through rainforest... in genres as diverse as current affairs, travel, food, lifestyle & property.
Outside work, her love of wildlife and desire to experience new things have led her to travel to over 40 countries to date to, amongst other things, climb the mountains Kilimanjaro & Kinabalu, scuba dive with Whale Sharks, trek through mountain forest to see gorillas and drive across the desert to see desert elephants…
